riends and family. The result is a mix of old favourites, covers and original songs.
Songs that will warm hearts ,on a chilly January afternoon

 Leah Morise   January 23. 2011

By turns brash and beguiling, Leah Morise's music is hard to categorize. When asked to describe her sound, she uses the term "genre crossing," a mix of folk, contemporary, jazz and blues. "I never really know in advance what's going to come out. The genre selects me, the songs appear in the style THEY want."

 Pete Denomme  January 30. 2011

Peter Denomme is well known on the London music scene as the owner of the London Music Club, a vital hub for both professional and
aspiring musicians. Pete will be performing songs from his new CD "Nice To Be Home" , an amazingly beautiful collection of heartfelt
“Goodies”..

 Sarah Smith  February 13.  2011

Sarah Smith breathes music.  She a part of the band, THE JOYS (http://www.thejoys.ca/), but when she is not touring, writing, recording
or playing shows with them, she likes to take time for herself. Her solo show is one of breath, air, depth and raw talent. Sarah sings of both
beauty and struggle and hopes to touch others' hearts along her own personal journey.

 Allison Brown  February 20, 2011

likes her religion a little bit gritty, takes her country music with a side of syrup and keeps her folk as dusty as the ol’ cabin floor.
With a hatful of broken hearts, bad weather, toils of the road and leaps of faith, Allison’s crafted originals matched with classic roots
repertoire reflect the striking conviction she brings to her sweet and powerful singing. As a soloist, Allison’s lonesome warbles soar over
subtle guitar framework, but can turn quickly to a feverish cyclone when joined by her spirited troupe of accompanists.
Allison brings her truest self to her collection of songs and to the stage in a refreshing conversation with the audience.

 Catherine McInnis  February 27. 2011

Catherine McInnes is a versatile singer/pianist, who can fluidly switch vocal modes from vocal jazz to classical choral repertoire to her own contemporary songs as a solo singer/songwriter. In 2003 she released Alone Together, a collection of jazz ballads in duet form featuring some great Canadian musicians - Andrew Downing on bass, Mark Eisenman, John Noubarian & Glenn Parsons on piano, and Oliver Whitehead & Ben Heywood on guitar. In the fall of 2004, Catherine’s song Dignity, a song about euthanasia, was short-listed for the Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award, juried by the Ontario Arts Council. She released ‘Exposed’, her first solo CD of all her own songs, in June 2007. She won the 2007 Ontario Council Of Folk Festivals’ Songs From The Heart/CBC Galaxie Rising Star Award for her song ‘Waltzing On Eggshells’. Recently retired from 20 years of teaching elementary school, Catherine continues to work as a singer-songwriter, a private music teacher, a choral composer and arranger, and she is the Artistic Director of London's Home County Folk Festival.

Elana enjoys a successful career both in writing and performing. A gifted guitarist and vocalist, the Montreal-born songstress maintains a “New Country / Rock” flavour and mass appeal. As a solo performer, Elana has released 4 CDs (Heart, Soul and Song; Father’s Daughter; Split; Like Water). Has had her music featured on compilations and soundtracks as well as garnering many songwriting awards (International Songwriting Competition, Songwriter Universe Magazine, Unisong International Songwriting Contest, Great American Song). She is busy as a freelance writer, producer and session musician, and brings her award-winning song writing ability to the V-Girls, a trio that includes Kim Sheppard and Heather Bambrick. Elana is also the producer and creator of ONSTAGE: Thursday Nights @ Slack’s, a weekly showcase of Canadian and International performing songwriters in downtown Toronto.
